From now on, all express deliveries to Türkiye will be verified by the Türkiye government. Verification will be processed through integration with the government to verify the customer ID/company tax ID.
Therefore, all goods that do not have a valid consignee tax ID/value-added tax/business identification number will be stored in the country of origin. The correct format for the consignee's tax ID/VAT/EIN number is:
For individuals: 11 digits, should not start with 0, and the last digit should be an even number.
For companies: 10 digits.
KYC notifications (SMS and/or email) are automatically sent whenever the consignee's tax ID/VAT/EIN number is invalid. In the KYC notification, the consignee needs to fill in certain information according to the following requirements:
For individuals: customers will be asked to fill in their ID card number, first name and last name in Türkiye characters.
For companies: Customers will be required to fill in the company tax ID number.
The goods will remain in the country of origin until a valid consignee ID is received.
