1、 Ensure the completeness of customs declaration documents
Customers generally need to prepare a verification form, customs declaration form, customs declaration authorization letter, packing list, invoice, contract, inspection authorization letter, warehouse authorization letter, etc. in advance.
In order to ensure the timeliness of customs declaration, the above information needs to be provided to the customs declaration personnel within the specified time, mainly including the following four key nodes:
1. Time of customs declaration data
When entering the warehouse, it is necessary to provide a customs declaration form, and if commodity inspection is required, it is also necessary to provide a commodity inspection form.
2. Signing and commissioning time
Before loading the container, the customer needs to sign a customs broker, and at this time, they need to provide a customs declaration authorization letter.
3. Customs declaration time
Generally, customs declaration personnel will declare the cabinets before customs clearance, and at this time, all customs declaration information needs to be provided.
4. Release time
"If the declaration has no problems and no inspection has been encountered, or if the inspection has no problems, just wait for the customs clearance with peace of mind.".
(The above only emphasizes the latest time node for providing information. Generally, customers are advised to prepare all the information in advance for the customs declaration personnel to save more time.)
2、 Identify the differences between different categories
In the international logistics industry, common import and export goods are divided into three categories: general goods, sensitive goods, and prohibited goods. The information required for different categories also varies.
1. General goods refer to common and mainstream goods in international transportation, which have little safety hazards. Therefore, the information required for customs declaration is generally as mentioned in the first point.
2. Sensitive goods refer to "high-risk" goods, such as electrical appliances and 3c products, which require additional MSDS, UN38.3 for batteries, sea transportation identification reports, and dangerous goods certificates. Products with UL marks must provide UL mark certification authorization letters.
MSDS is a chemical safety technical manual
• UN 38.3 is a battery safety performance test report
• Cargo transportation appraisal report: It refers to the appraisal and recommendation report on the transportation safety of goods based on domestic and foreign regulations and standards related to the transportation of dangerous goods.
• Dangerous goods certificate includes performance certificate (dangerous goods transportation packaging performance evaluation result sheet) use certificate (outbound dangerous goods transportation packaging use evaluation result sheet)
3. Prohibited goods refer to products that are prohibited by law from being manufactured, purchased, used, or transported for import or export, as well as perishable food, reactionary newspapers, and obscene materials.
