1、 ARAMEX Notice on the New Exchange Rate of Lebanese Customs
According to a notice dated April 19, 2023, Lebanese customs changed the local exchange rate against the US dollar. Please note that starting from May 13, 2023, Lebanese customs, in accordance with the instructions of the Ministry of Finance, have changed the local exchange rate against the US dollar, which is 86000 Lebanese pounds to 1 US dollar, instead of the current 60000 Lebanese pounds.
Customs will use the new exchange rate to calculate the taxable value of all goods imported into Lebanon. Please note that this change will not affect FRDM charges. But it will affect those recipients who decide to pay customs duties and taxes in Lebanese pounds.
2、 ARAMEX Notice on the New Oman Customs Regulations (HS Code):
According to the notice dated May 10, 2023, in accordance with the new customs regulations of Oman, please note that from now on, all non document goods imported into Oman must have the actual description and corresponding HS code declared by the sender (regardless of value).
